The Approach Fisheries

It is home to the best carp stock in the North and one of the best stocks in the country. The Approach’ (formerly ‘Eric’s Willows’) has long been renowned as the North of England’s premier big carp fishery, home to an unrivalled stock of fish.

Home to 2 spring fed gravel pits, nestled away in the secluded centre of a 200+ acre (secure) site.

Pit 2 (‘The Troutie’) is 32 acres, closest to the amenities, and is open to everyone.

Pit 1 (‘Willows’) is 25 acres and bookable through the app by members.only It gets very very weedy due to its depth so in order to ensure the safety of our fish we vet angling competence on the trout lake before considering membership for Willows.

There is a clubhouse on site with, toilets, showers, a kitchen, bait and tackle, pool table, fridges and freezers, charging points for phones etc

All swims are accessible by car (so no need for a barrow), but we do insist that cars are returned to one of the car parks immediately having dropped off your gear.
